All funds raised during the Radio NOVA Help Homelessness Radiothon are collected by Focus Ireland personnel, based in Radio NOVA’s offices in the Dublin docklands for the two days of the on-air initiative. We are specifically asking for 3000 people to donate €15 to help homelessness in the Greater Dublin area. Each €15 donation pays for the following:
All funds raised are directed to help youth homeless – those under 18 who are experiencing homelessness or at risk or homelessness. We need to get young people out of homelessness as quickly as possible to protect them. Young people who are homeless are vulnerable and can fall into entrenched homelessness quickly without support. They are open to falling into addiction, being exploited and being at serious risk due to the influence of others or by their own actions due to the chaotic situation they are living in every day when homeless.
Each donation of €25 will provide a young person who is homeless with a safe place to sleep for a night and a hot meal for a week.
